KANSAS CITY, Mo. – River of Refuge is pleased to announce that Stephanie Keck will be joining its staff as the nonprofit organization’s first Program Director. Keck will be responsible for program development for all members of the Transitional Living Program at River of Refuge, as well as overseeing donations, fundraising, staffing, curriculum development and partnerships.
Keck earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, and completed her master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in non-profit leadership in 2014. Previously, Keck served as a Prevention Specialist for First Call (Formerly the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency), as a Foster Care Case Manager, and as a Case Manager for Hillcrest Transitional Housing.
Most recently Keck was employed at Cerner Corporation as a Solutions Results Manager. Both her corporate and non-profit professional experience enable Keck to take on the strategic challenges of this new position at River of Refuge.
“We are so thrilled to have our first Program Director in place because this signifies one of the final steps of the long awaited opening of the first-of-its-kind transitional living facility in Kansas City to support families living, working and struggling to support their children right here in our own community,” said John Wiley, board member and founder of River of Refuge.
Keck officially joined the River of Refuge staff in January of 2016. She looks forward to serving the working homeless families in Kansas City that benefit every day from the hardworking staff members of River of Refuge.
